Ramayana Teaser: Ranbir Kapoor As Rama Looks Breathtaking; Alia Bhatt Praises Hubby, Says 'Out Of The World' (X)

Mumbai: The much awaited teaser of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' was unveiled on Hanuman Jayanti. The teaser which is two minute and 38 second long introduces the audience to the first look and glimpses of Ranbir as Lord Rama. And don't miss the  glimpse of Yash as Ravan at the end of the teaser.

What is there in the teaser?

The teaser starts with a powerful background music. The stunning visuals and VFX will give you goosebumps. 

Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Rama is a calm and composed character. His aggressive and courageous side is also evident in changing circumstances. 

The film which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by Namit Malhotra, also features Sai Pallavi, Yash and Sunny Deol in key roles. In the teaser the characters of Lakshman and Sita are blurred, focusing entirely on Rama.

Although at the end of the teaser, makers have shared a small glimpse of Ravana, but his face is not revealed. 

Did Alia Bhatt praise hubby Ranbir as Rama?

Ahead of the teaser release, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt shared a video message on social media, and praised hubby Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' first glimpse 'Rama'. 

While asking the audiences to support her husband Ranbir Kapoor's film, Alia said that it is 'Out of this world'.

In the video message, Alia said, "The Ramayana unit is going to be out tomorrow. It is the unit called the Rama unit. I'm going to post it on my social media, so please go out there and support it. Ranbir has done such a beautiful job and I can't wait for you guys to see it. It's absolutely fabulous."

Alia Bhatt concluded the video by saying, "It's just out of this world."

How are people reacting?

After the release of the teaser, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh ​​reviewed it and called it mesmerizing.

While sharing his thoughts after watching the first glimpse of Rama, Taran Adarsh said, Jai Shri Ram... Just watched the new glimpse – Rama – from the most-awaited epic Ramayana, and I am mesmerised. It is breathtaking, no doubt, but more importantly, the glimpse lives up to the massive, gigantic expectations."

The trade analyst also talked about the Ranbir Kapoor's look as Lord Rama, saying, "Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Rama, looks exceptional – exuding grace, divinity and strength... The stunning visuals, the groundbreaking VFX, and an electrifying background score (Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman) – this glimpse from Ramayana is simply spectacular. Like I said earlier, Ramayana is not just a film for today, but for generations to come... Visionary producer Namit Malhotra, who has backed this monumental project, and director Nitesh Tiwari are ensuring that the timeless epic is presented on the big screen with utmost sincerity and scale."

What about Ramayana cast and release?

Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, 'Ramayana' will release in two parts, the first part arrives in theatres worldwide on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.
